Vocabulary!!

Today we discovered that there are some challenging words in our literature circle book, The Boy Who Saved Baseball along with some interesting characters -- imagine a man who allows the fate of an entire town to be decided by a kids' baseball team! Here you can post challenging, new, or unusual words you find in the text (along with page number and dictionary definition) to help us all understand the story better.

Make sure you read what others have posted to avoid duplicate entries. This discussion is part of your literature circle participation grade, so make sure you use proper grammar and spelling. My suggestion is to jot down your ideas before you go to the computer to avoid any careless mistakes.

Please post at least twice for every three chapters. Follow the example we completed as a class. Post the word, page number, dictionary definition, sentence (or part of sentence) from the book, and how it helped you better understand the story.
